Going over two AWESOME IDEs for Java programming. I use NetBeans for my Windows Development area but I prefer to start people on Eclipse. I also go over running a program from the IDE instead of the command prompt like the last video.

  • Whats better to use for making games eclipse or netbeans?

  • @786RiDz It won't matter. Neither are specialized for making games. The key parts are they compile and run in a terminal within the application to allow you to test on the fly and they provide a library of possibilities. This makes it easier to develop.

  • Tut is ok but volume / voice is not loud. (some noise is in background).

Hey, can you tell me why official websites of Eclipse & JDK are so confusing & irritating??

I don't know whom to tell this. But the official Sites should be like of netbean

Download link appears on first page itself.

Why JDK is on Oracle website? They just direct u to other confusing sites like the central theme of such pages is not downloading but more of Advs.

    ??

  • @Photon98 How could the tutorial be improved? There is always going to be background noise. My house is near a busy street and is usually filled with people being loud and obnoxious. Nothing I can do about that.

I agree with you that they can be irritating but there is no real answer I can provide because I do not develop for them.

    Because Oracle owns Sun.

  • eclipse: used by notch =)

  • @EXNJ3st3r Netbeans have that too

  • @MuhammadVonRaven I think it would be easier to have a windows machine running a virtual box.

  • @EXNJ3st3r - Is it possible to use Wine to launch your Windows capture tool, or would that be the equiv of VirtualBox?

  • @anandenigmatic Eclipse has a plugin specifically for developing PHP.

  • @MuhammadVonRaven Java is platform independent. If you can recommend good screen capturing software that is available for linux I'm open to ideas as that is my preferred environment.
