Yes, Maureen and it shows. You own that song. I have heard many fine artists sing this song (in person) such as Mary O'Hara -who like you sang it in Irish- and have heard many others sing it in English translation (which is OK but lacks the maturity and mature tone of the original Irish Gaelic). But I have never heard a version better done than yours. Cum ort as they say in Scotland!!! ( I am part Irish by the way; my father's mother was born in Oban, Argyll of Irish parents in 1890!
