Hidaya Foundation collects and distributes Zakat donations per Shariah (Islamic Law) guidelines as mentioned in Chapter 9: Verse 60 in Al Quran.


Though Zakat funds are almost always distributed directly by Hidaya Foundation, sometimes it becomes necessary to engage other reliable organizations and partners to extend Hidaya's reach in assisting orphans, widows, poor elderly and families in extreme poverty in other areas. Zakat is distributed in the form of basic necessities such as cash, dry ration, clothing, and in the form of various other projects such as medical assistance, Water hand pumps, meeting educational needs...etc.
