Murder of Prem Bernadez

I am a concerned friend of Prem who happened to take this video during his funeral on July 6, 2008. When I watched this video several times, it dawned on me that something's very suspicious with the behavior of some persons. I, thus, decided to put this up for public viewing. It might help those who are pursuing to solve this murder case.

Filipino's superstition states that a white face towel placed in the coffin will torment the guilty till they give up. Watch the guilty behavior of these two sisters as they remove the towel twice.

Notice the towel is first placed in the coffin at 0:21. At 0:29, their sister-in-law, Jennifer Sulit approaches Josie on the side whispering her of the presence of the towel. Josie then, at 0:40 picks up the towel and shows it to Bobbet. You'll hear Bobbet, expressively with eyes wide open, telling Josie emphatically, "Kuha-a na! Kuha-a! Kuha-a!, meaning "Get that!, Get it! Get it". The tall family member, Tommy sees it and takes the towel from them and returns it at 0:50.

At 1:02 Bobbet requests to have the coffin opened pretending she wants to remove some name tags. At 1:16 you see Tommy has taken the towel from near Bobbet and places it at the foot area. Finally at 2:25 Bobbet reaches and grabs the towel and passes it to Josie. Tommy again instantly spots it and takes the towel back and returns it inside the coffin. See the 2 sisters look at each other at 2:30 realizing they have failed, walking away "WORRIED & TORMENTED".

Let it be clear that my only intention when I posted this video for public viewing is to help those who are pursuing to solve this murder case. This will continue until justice is attained through the legal process.

I sent an email to the siblings of Prem a few days ago - the ones who are outside the country, asking them to give us a glimpse of where our friend's case stands. In fact, my email was a striking one, blunt in some ways, expressing my impatience over the utter silence that engulfed the whole case a few months after his demise until today. They replied to me with the consent that I could post it here.  Here it is in verbatim...

"We are greatly happy to know that there are still some good-hearted people who cared for Prem's justice, who are one with us in our struggle until these days. Your deepest concern is very reassuring that gives us more strength to defy the odds in our search for justice. When our father died in 2007, we grieved with so much pain over his death. Losing a loved one is never easy to overcome. But it somehow dawned on us that it was time for him to rest than to suffer with his illness.

That provided us a relief. But Prem's death is different, an untimely one. He was snatched away from us by the evil ones, uncivilized, ruthless, and barbaric people, and despicable animals, while he was at his prime and accomplishing more. That, until today, we still could not believe nor accept. Everyday, the pain is lingering that caused us more sleepless nights than peaceful slumbers, especially that we are still wanting for justice.

The first thing that comes to our minds when we wake up is his justice; the last thing that leaves our mind as we go to sleep is his justice. If you, as his friends are still grieving, how much more for us, whom he had cared for, helped, and loved while he was still alive. Our tears run deep and our heartaches are killing us. Yet, we are not giving up. Rest assured, we vowed by his graveyard to search for justice by all means.

Our silence must have been misconstrued as apathy, but in all honesty, we have not abandoned our dearest brother. We believe that at the right time, God will hand over these animals to the balance of justice for judgment and punishment. Fate has its own way of claiming what is due. If the headlines in the newspapers are true about the recent demise of the alleged hitman of Prem, then fate took him the way he took away the lives of his victims.
