XIT was originally based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Members include founder and Native American Music Award winner Tom Bee, A.Michael Martinez, Mac Suazo, Lee Herrerra,and R.C.Garriss.
"XIT" stands for "crossing of Indian Tribes", according to Tom Bee, founder and featured artist of the 70's Native American Rock band.
