Clemson University hosted more than 100 auto industry representatives from around the world on April 5th and 6th for the International Conference on Sustainable Automotive Technologies at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). It was the first time for the conference to be held in North America.
After visiting Clemson's main campus earlier in the week, Dr. Klaus Scharioth, German ambassador to the United States, told the conference that investments between Germany and the United States, such as BMW's South Carolina plant, help foster an exchange of ideas and new techniques.
Clemson University President James F. Barker also spoke about the university's commitment to sustainability.
