LCD Panels are actually pretty neat. I watched your video because I wanted to see what I've been studying looks like. Basically the screen is a semi-crystalline layer with about 1.7 million transistors that send a current through the front panel. The current causes the crystalline layer to re-shape itself to form the pictures you see on the screen. The white layer that you pulled apart near the end is the back lighting. The "motherboard-y" looking bit is a circuit board that controls it all.
I got a tiny annoying black dot in the middle of my 32" LCD screen but I can't smear it off. It look like it's stuck from the inside. Should I take it apart and clean from inside?
those "bars" are mini flouresent tubes that light the screen, now most tv's use LED edge lit screens so they are super thin, i have a 32 inch sony bravia LED tv in my room, and its much brighter then the LCD tv's that use flouresent tubes to light them :)
@salamander337 sir that would be a dead pixel and you can not fix it
