Bangkok Traffic

Bangkok is known for having some of the worst traffic imaginable. This is partly due to a lack of urban planning, and as a result, many sidewalks were expropriated for road use. In some places, there's almost no sidewalk at all, and what little there is has to compete for space with telephone poles, bus shelters, etc. During rush hour, it can take hours to go across the city. Fortunately, the city is doing something about it and has constructed a network of expressways as well as a first class subway and skytrain system. This video was shot from an overhead walkway in the middle of the day. It's a sea of cars.

oddly enough I noticed the air pollution more in Phuket. If more people studied this video and the other ones on youtube there would be less accidents in BKK.

never trust a taxi driver, and the tuk tuks are a massive rip, take taxi and for short runs take motorcycle taxi
