This is the first of 2 dives that were recorded on March 16, 2011 by Roxane Boonstra at Little Cayman Beach Resort on the Little Cayman Island in the Caribbean. The dive captain, Ron, drew the general layout of the dive site on the whiteboard.

If you would like to skip to the actually underwater part of the video, it begins at 4:11.

I'm wearing the blue/black fins and the blue-trimmed mask. My brother, Mark, is the one with the gray/black fins, yellow-trimmed mask, and pirate flag. My dad is the bald guy with grey fins, a clear mask, and pretty much always holding the camera.

This dive took place at my favorite dive site, Randy's Gazebo. It consists of a vertical swimthrough called the "chimney" that begins at a depth of around 30 feet and ends at a little over 80 feet. You can see me entering the chimney in the video right before Roxane went through it herself. You then swim over to the "gazebo" which is the archway that you see people swimming through. After that, you go to the next swimthrough which pops you out at the shallow part of the reef where you can spend the rest of your dive time. Between the swimthroughs and the gazebo is the wall that drops down to about 6000 feet.

I highly recommend Little Cayman as a location for a dive trip.

The second dive for that morning can be found on Part 2.
