bringing junk food to Meg Hillier

Monday 12th of April, activists of London NoBorders signed up for MP Meg Hillier's twice monthly surgery at Hackney Town Hall. Meg Hillier is Member of Parliament for Hackney South and Shoreditch and Home Office Minister for Identity. With regard to the last 6 weeks hunger strike in Yarl's Wood detention center, in February Hillier had written toall the MPs denying that the women were on hunger strike..

nice..so you rocked up at a confidential MP surgery for her constituents and wonder why she got annoyed? seriously if you want to make a stand or get a point across do it correctly...i would be hell pissed if i'd turned up to talk to my MP about an immigration issue for example, confidentially and you muppets rocked up with a camera. Also no borders? yep lets just traffics weapons, drugs ,women, children with no recourse...did you even think this 'idea' through?

All Meg Hillier's constituents that went to talk to her had already left by the time we got to meet her. We chose on purpose to go almost at the end of the surgery!

Since we are constituents as well we registered and waited that all the others finished their surgery.Then, only when it was our turn, I tried to film her reaction when confronted with her lies about Yarl's Wood.Next time we'll ask her why she voted against an inquiry to Blair about Iraq!

@prudrum as for the weapons... the mayority of them are produced in the USA and in European countries... people are being trafficked now because they do not have riight to come legally! If they wouldn't have to cross the borders hidden in a lorry, nobody would make profits from their need to move!

@vice2k I would not say we stormed her surgery! we registered and quietly waited our turn. we went right at the end to avoid disturbing other people there. we just wanted to talk to her but she was quite aggressive because I had a camera... I felt like we were in a public place so we could film...since the home office funded lots of cctv to film us all the time... we wanted to expose her lies about immigration detainees... but her reaction was quite extreme... quite stormy, I would say!
