1982: Those were the days before Simon Topping, who was with ACR at the time. The drummer you hear on the recording is Reinier Rietveld (Spasmodique) and the drummer you see in the video is Chris Joyce (later founding member of Simply Red).

i remember now, they used to play these at boardwalk and hacienda,like 88 89ish, the very start of the rave thing... madchester..rave on. used to drive over there when i was 17.
