the first time i saw this movie, i was only nine, but can u believe that i never forgot the colorful scenes and the taste of horror & suspense? it s absolutely one of the best movies & Kurosawa is the best Japanese director.

She's the older sister, and it seems that the boy treats her with respect, it's cunfuse because they say that women must pay respect to man, no matter if she's older or not, but according to this, you have to be respecfull to your elders, no matter if they are women or men.

Yes,I've experienced such scenes from my youth(yute?),its called hallucinogens!
I do like Kurosawa,though.I find it difficult to imagine that the same man who made
"Throne of Blood" & "Ran" can make such
an artistic,endearing film like "Dreams"...,

It also brings back memories of childhood, of the clean-ness of spring. The fragrance of freshly blooming flowers, and everything is new and simplistic, like the innocence in childhood.

I love this vignette. This one is my absolute favorite of the Kurosawa films. I love the sense of appreciation of nature that seems to run as a theme through many Japanese directors
