Yo Bud you're not paying attention. I said Lake Manitou on Manitoulin Island. Biggest so far is 19 lbs. Keep smiling!

If this is Lake Manitou on Manitoulin Island, then that is absolutely NOT the biggest known pickeral. You are short about 3-4 pounds, sorry buddy.

I used the President and Medalist combos from Pflueger. 6 foot med action rod is perfect for boat and shore. The sensitivity is perfect for jigging. The President combo will run you about 80 dollars and the medalist around 130 dollars. If that is out of your price range pick up a ugly stick from shakespeare those are great poles I would recommend buying a separate reel(pflueger, diawa, which ever reel you prefer)
31 inch walleye should weigh around 10-12 pounds... 13 would be a stretch... 14 seems like BS to me

@ROOSNUTZ I did not weigh the fish. The weight is an estimate based on a similar fish that weighed 12.5 pounds and was only 29 inches long. The fish was caught in late season, and was very fat and healthy... near perfect form, color etc. There is another video showing it up much closer. Again estimated weight based on a 295 that was weighed from the same lake. May have only been 13 but 2 inches = 2 pounds on most fish of that species.

Damn!! nice fish man, musta been fun catching that monster. What were you using for bait? I find frogs work really well in walleye infested water.

I was using a Galyans Rod. IM 8
6 foot 6 Medium.
You need some thing sensitive at the tip. I was letting the lure drop on a count. Started at 8 and counted it down successively to 15. Was getting nibbles at 10 feet. Finally caught this Walleye and later on a perch, which was 8 inches. The largest any of the guides had ever seen. (They said) But with all the small perch in this lake there has to be some good perch in it somewhere.
