i could tell you how to fix it if its on emulator but if its on vc you can't fix it

I only prob at the move tool i cant seems to move right and left D:

but it is a problem of the original game or what? Look at the life bar and the stars at the bottom. It does not work! It only updates when you change location, type ...... if you cross a door. This problem happens to me in the emulator. But it also happens on the original version of the N64?
