This short film by Kevin Lee provides an inside look at the work of the Sikh Coalition, a community-based organization that fights for civil and human rights. Started in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Sikh Coalition works to create a world in which Sikh may freely practice and enjoy their faith.
This documentary includes interviews with Sikh community members who have experienced discrimination or hate violence as well as Sikh Coalition staff members and interns providing a behind the scenes glimpse at the Sikh Civil Rights movement in the United States.

I was sitting in my car (I'm not a sikh) and I was looking at 3 white guys passing a taxi stand where I saw a sikh man sitting in his van taxi and these guys starting yelling out loud ALAAAAAAA ALAAAAAAAA ALAAAAAAAAA and started laughing and threw something at the taxi van. I was like just another day for sikhs, it must be kinda terrible, this was in upstate NY

Hats of to eh people of the SIkh coalition! They are such beautiful individuals committed to Justice for Sikhs and all others and could use any support of time or donations that anyone can spare.

Great video! Good job all at sikh coalition. It's nice to see more action oriented sikh organizations that are up with the needs of the times.
