A '57 Dodge PU on a '97 Dakota frame.
So far everything has come from a junkyard or off eBay.

  • I have a 54 i am trying to put on a 98 dakota frame to me it looks like the back half of the frame is going to make the bed sit high what do you think. Thanks dave

  • @slvsales I'm probably going to raise the floor of the bed about 4". I've been trying to work that very issue out. I've mocked it up a couple of times, and keeping the floor at the original level leaves quite a bit of space between the top of the tire and the lip of the fender.

  • i have a what i guess is a 57 power wagon 4x4 but it has rounded windows on the cab corners, is that a rare model ?

  • @john6218att The '57 Dodge trucks were the only year with this particular nose design. The wrap around rear window was part of a Deluxe appointment package.

  • mine has a 9.5 ft bed any ideas

  • @sweetlou217 If you want to use the 9.5' bed on a dakota chassis...hmmmm.

I guess just start by measuring the wheelbase on the truck with the 9.5' body.

A quad cab is going to be the longest wheelbase Dakota, unless it's the same as an extended cab.

My rear cab mounts ended up under the '57 cab because I shortened the Dakota frame.

I have a W300 Power Wagon frame behind my shop if you need help measuring the wheelbase.

    Let me know.
