Wow... how about a link to part II or something? I came here to learn about Vatican II, and the phrase wasn't mentioned once. It would be helpful to know how the history provided here tied in to the subsequent Vatican II. Surely there must be more...?

Vatican II is the saddest period in Catholic history. It has brought about a destruction on a scale not previously known. No one can point out why this Council was supposed to be necessary. No one can give a valid reason why this had to happen. What was wrong with the old Church? probably the council has done more bad than good. Church is in a deep crisis.

The truth is that Luther took what he pleased from the Holy Catholic Church. But he left the deuterocanonicals, but his disciples fought between themselves since the beginning.
Now we have 30 000 + Protestant sects and counting. Jesus asked Paul , why do you prosecute me? and he was prosecuting the church.
