You've heard of this weird rule "En Passant," but never knew just what it was and how it worked. Worry no more! IM David Pruess explains how to do it, and where this "exception rule" comes from.

  • yea but you didn't explain the capture of other pieces using en passant. Could a pawn capture a rook, bishop, queen, knight using en passant?

  • @IllusioneArts nope! only a pawn.

  • Was there ever any consideration to allow En Passant facility to any other piece's capture authority that would be undermined by a pawn executing a two square first move? Just curious.

  • @wtfjonw not that i know of.

  • First! and thank you a lot man!!!
