Damn, Stokely.....I mean damn.

@nulosounds, I don't understand the comparison? Why? Needless to say, Chris Dave was Stokley's protégé back in the 90’s so Chris learned a lot from him. Stokley is quicker with his hands so he's able to do faster combinations than Chris. Chris's improvisations are more Jazzy and stylistic so yes I agree they have to different styles. They are both great musicians period!

@OfficialReKLisT I agree and Chris just expanded his playing style and got better that Stoke we know this. Oh and trust I know there is none like Chris
-
@nulosounds all ima say is, stokley and chris dave both have totally different styles... too me that just makes them the best in their own fields. and i know for a fact they both picked up alot from each other over the years.

@OfficialReKLisT What ever dude, and don't get me wrong I've been studying Chris for a long time. For instance when he was playing set and Kim Burrell was on keys. Chris Dave is the best period. We know this.

What you ignant ass don't realize is he's playing a constant latin son clave on the kick and a whole separate set of syncopations with his hands. While the kick never changes. It's like trying to run and eat a bowl of cereal at the same time.
Try that shit sometime. You won't get so uppity.
