Well, Micheal unplugged the coil wire that goes to the distributor cap, that will not stop the engine from actually cranking over, however it will prevent the engine from starting. Weird that the engine didn't even crank, something else prevented the engine from cranking over, 1) bad battery 2) bad connection to the battery 3) defective starter. 3 possibilities.
