you can go to the PS store on your ps3, and download ad hoc party, thats how you get it! also, try to YouTube it (how to play mhfu online with ps3 ad hoc)
PS i can see why you guys all hate this video, But COME ON stop hating him! ill admit that when i 1st saw this, i hated him too. BUT ALL HE IS DOING IS ASKING THE SAME QUESTION AS YOU ALL ARE!
PS (again) you can also try xlink Kai, (Google it) but it is confusing, and i highly recommend ps3 ad hoc

Heres an easy way to get online play for monster hunter freedom unite, jus follow my steps. ok first you need to own a ps3, then you need to register your psp to your ps3, just go to remote play settings and register them, then go onto the playstation network and download ADHoc, ater that thats it you just play by going into the online hall. i hope this helps
