haha, alright, to be honest, I haven't really gone through with learning the mellophone XD
first off, no, I never got a teacher; so I really have no idea whether I play the note I'm looking at since you use different embouchures for brass instruments.
second, I can't even practice it because I was playing on a borrowed mouthpiece that I had to give back.
third, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the mellophone is NOT in the same key as the clarinet.
I'm SO sorry that I can't be much help

hi im a clarinet who is learbing mellophone.. how are you doing with it?
did you get a teacher? I just have no idea what the heck i am doing, I don;t know if im hitting the right notes or anything. Is the mellophone in the same key as clarinet? Bb?
