Sure is great to see one of these beautiful old century series girls like this F-100 fly again!
Now, if only they'd restore an F-101, F-102, F-104, F-105 and an F-106 to flying status for me that would be a dream come true!

Wish they had shown the whole takeoff....

@mike104740 Yep! Had they not changed the F-4 Phantom's original designation it would've been called the F-110 Spectre.

@ryanspeed cant forget the f-111
-
@SgtGrant23 Yea, I saw them a few years back. It was awesome!
The Collins Foundation is in the process of trying to restore an F-105D Thunderchief (# 62-259) to flying status. Last I heard they are trying to work out some legal issues with the Air Force. It might be a while before it takes to the sky again.

@ryanspeed there are 3 F-104's that still fly look up the starfighters
-
Stupid F-16 had to go and ruin the video, lol.
-
@skipplet Really? Where? I'd love to see that!
-
@ryanspeed Someone is supposedly trying to restore an F-105 right now. That would be a real treat to see the Thud flying.
-
@gregory771 no kidding, why would a person of taped all that & not showed it taking off????
-
@tacair My monthly salary (200hr of work) burned in an hour lool

@ryanspeed Besides that, I have seen pictures of the entire Thud avionics package. It had to be at least 20 different black boxes crammed into that thing. Imagine having to fix all of that. OY.
anyone know if it will be flying in any 2009 airshows?

I suppose it is a function of fuel prices at this point. This bird takes 1800 gallons for about an hour's flight.
