it was just like it is now. Women pushing to be more provactive, conspicuous consumption, everyone was invested in the stock market, fortunes were made and lost by taxi drivers and government was expanding it's reach into everyday life. Absolutely no difference.

Women were hotter back then...they had class. Things were made to last. My entire place is furnished with things from the 20's and 30's. Heck I don't even have modern phones. All of them are from the 20's and 30's. My radios are all from the 30's. I'm 36 years old too.

The 20's were pretty much the best decade ever. I love it so much. Love the fashion, the music, just everything.
