Grace Community Church of Jacksonville, Florida thinks it's appropriate to meddle in people's private relationships and talk about their sex lives during service. I think it's despicable.

The church's threat to Rebecca Hancock: http://www.theweeklyvice.com/2008/12/florida-church-threatens-to-broadcast.html

  • See, I thought I had made it pretty clear that I hold the bible in very little regard, as well as churches in general, and specifically this church. I don't particularly care what Jesus would've done in any case. What they've done here *is* shameful behavior; that's why I've chosen to draw attention to their immorality.

  • No shit, people fuck!!!!! You came up with some classic one liners!!!! :-)

  • hey, assholery is my word ):

  • "Disciplinary." Pffft! They make it sound like she's some child that needs to be handled rather than a fully grown woman that has nothing keeping her to them.

  • @Rhys051777 Very sad. It's hard to believe that in this day and age people have such a need to belong that they'll subject themselves to this kind of evil treatment.

  • @ChipArgyle The Church is doing great with more and more new members and has expanded to two services.

  • So after all of that one has to wonder...is that church still standing or has it been wiped off the face of the planet yet?

  • i wouldn't have said anything if i were her, especially knowing that that was a religious environment that she was in. this is why i will never talk to anyone about my sex/private life, because i don't know how they would react, or if whether or not they would judge me for it. its just no ones business, and that includes friends and family especially. they don't have to know about it. its a private thing, and they don't need to know.

  • If, "just following orders" were a valid excuse, no hitman would ever be convicted of murder. If "just enforcing policy" were a valid excuse, Hitler's officers would not be guilty of anything. If "God told me to" were a valid excuse, then there would be no reason to try to capture Osama bin Laden. And, any time someone uses these pitiful excuses for excuses, I refer them to the logical extreme of the argument.

  • The church must be doing something right if it made you sick...=)-
