Here you go: Genesis 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Paul's letter to the Corinthians: 1 Corinthians 6:16 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, " THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH." I didn't add the caps, all caps means it is a quote from the writings of moses or the prophets.
I think Jesus would of told her to stop. Don't you? Did these evil thugs drag her to this "Church" and make her sign up and give 10% of her income? Are you too occupied slandering Miss Hancocks molesters. You know if the Churches allowed shameful behavior another 'you' would show up slamming the immoral phony Christians. Now why don't you stand up for your own actions and correct yourself. What you probably meant to say is, "I hate the bible, I hate churches and I think Ms Hancock is hot".
See, I thought I had made it pretty clear that I hold the bible in very little regard, as well as churches in general, and specifically this church. I don't particularly care what Jesus would've done in any case. What they've done here *is* shameful behavior; that's why I've chosen to draw attention to their immorality.
I agree what the church did to her was wrong but from their perspective she was going to be eternally tortured (go to hell) if they didn't get her to stop her "immoral" behavior. Isn't public embarrassment preferable to eternal damnation? In a sick and twisted way they were showing how much they cared about her.
the more i recite religious words from doctrines, the more ridiculous they sound, every time. too bad religions don't mandate that every religious person read their doctrine over and over. eventually, they would see how stupid it all is.
@NotTooObvious recite religious words from doctrines ??? Religious words? YIKES! So, let me get this straight, you really don't recite anything do you? Let me help you unbeliever: Dolphins use to be cows! Dolphins use to be cows! Dolphins use to be cows. CO2 causes the temperature to increase, the globe is on fire, THE SKY IS FALLING, I learned how to blame oil companies for anything that contradicts Al Gore, I learned how to blame oil companies for anything that contradicts Al Gore. This says nothing about marriage. Nor does it say anything about WHY sex before marriage is wrong..
