Opening Day, Spring Turkey Season, Hammock Walk Ranch. Nothing like the sound of fired-up Gobblers to remind you why you wake up at dark thirty, as many times as you can, to enjoy being in the woods. Bill Crispin bags his first Gobbler, a Florida Osceola, at fly down. This four year old bird had an 8 inch beard and 1 2/3 inch spurs, that were near razor sharp--as if he never had to fight for anything in his life! It is good to be a Turkey on Hammock Walk Ranch.
