83-year-old Anna serves Stefan homemade butter, soup and vodka. She and her husband Misha lives 15 km from the ChNPP reactor. They returned to their homes soon after the disaster and are now growing vegetables and raising livestock again.

You can go to the Exclusion zone, with an authorized company through the Ministry. They tell you NOT to eat ANYTHING but what does the ministry know. You have to trust the locals (and your Geiger Counter)! She would be a great Babushka!

I visited Russia back in 1993 ... I met several of these type of Russian people ... I completely love them ... Very warm and genuine folk ... Very friendly to me and friends.
