  • y didnt u just buy the 5 $ harness kit from crappy tire or walmart

  • that would have gotten me the same response from the infinity amplifier. for some reason they don't find it nessesary to include an amplifier remote wire in the plug an play wire harness. numerous people online bought the converter harness and still had to rip their dash apart to find the amplifier power wire. i figured since i had to go in i might as well save myself a couple bucks and look up the wire colors to hook it up myself. thanks for the question though.

  • which red and green wires are you talking about?i'm installing kenwood unit and couldn't get the rear speakers to come on.what i do with the black plastic connector thats plugged in bac of unit?

  • the black wire plugged into the back i hooked up to the ground strap along with the ground for my new deck.. now in amongst the wire harness is a green wire with a red stripe. it looks like a speaker wire but you hook it up to the power antenna remote wire and you get the rear speakers and the door speakers to work

  • @LocalDogRescue

Thanks for the detailed info... I wouldve never thought of that black wire with the stripe.

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!

  • would this work on a 1997 Grand Caravan? Because i Have a Double DIn radio and I only get the same thing, the two front and the two far rear tweeters

  • I also have a 1996 Dodge grand caravan with a Infiniti sound set up. I did the same thing, looked for the green and red wire, connected to the power antenna wire coming from the radio and still nothing. I only get sound from the tweeters, two on the dash and two all the way in the back. Can any one give me some mores ideas? thanks!

  • Hey guys, i am runing on a big question and can't find anything online. I have a 2005 full van Chevy, i want to replace the oem radio for a dual din but i can't find anything for it. If you know any nice stereo that fits let me know. I was looking for JVC - 50W x 4 MOSFET Apple. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the video and the instructions, I had trouble getting all the speakers to work till I watched this video and read the comments. The info about the green w/red wire was helpful thanks, Now all my speakers work great...

  • I just installed a new Sony cdx-gt210 HU onto this van with an e2 adapter from Wally Mart without a problem. Just make sure you hook up the AMP REM (blue/white) to the blue wire from the harness adapter and thats it.

Every informative posting though for a manual wire to wire hook up. I just took the lazy and clean way and dish out 15 bucks for the convenient sake :P

  • AWESOME! Finally got it figured out. Splice that extra green w/red stripe wire in to the power antenna remote wire (blue w/white stripe), and then ground that black w/(some color stripe) wire to the deck. Turned it on an all speakers and amp powered up. It actually sounds pretty good for a factory system. I was only installing a factory deck though not an aftermarket one so I dont know if this will work for everyone.

  • @LocalDogRescue I should add that I believe the factory radio i installed is from a van that only had a regular 4-speaker system and not from a van with the infinity 8-speaker system, hence the two extra wires.
