i've got the ap2's and im at a modest 15.2 handicap. to me, they're great irons to learn on. they give good feedback and aren't TOO harsh on mishits. but when you hit them in the center they are SWEEEEEEET! :)

You dont need a low handicap you just need to be a good ball striker and even if you dont hit em in the center of the club face all of the time they still fligh good because their not blades their forged they are still forgiving....

@BenFTW24 where/how'd you get them so cheap?

I cant afford even used MIZUNO 53 set. I think these might be an excellent choice for me...

i bought the 3-P AP2 for only $355!!!! Perfectly legit, no gimmics.

ap2s are the lightest irons ever! thumbs up if you agree

I am about an 8 handicap. I have a set of both ap1 and ap2 irons. To my opinion the ap1 irons are better in feel, forgiveness, and when it comes to touchy shots. If you are looking for irons, get the ap1 !!

I think the better grip to go with is the Lamkin Full Cords, not too expensive either. I just got the AP2s and can not wait for the snow to thaw where I am so I can actually use them. Fyi, they look and feel bad ass
I have a question and if anyone out there could give me a constructive opinion, I'd appreciate it. Going to but a new set of clubs when I get back to the states and settled on the the APs. I"ve always played a forged club and prefer the feel. I have read a bit about the AP models and I am serously leaning toward them instead of the MP 57s. How do the AP1s feel? Is there a discernable difference in feel between the AP1 & 2. As a 14. would the AP1s be a better club than the AP2s?

If you were considering the MP-57's, the AP2's would be your choice. The AP1 irons have a thicker top edge and more offset than the AP2's and both feel about the same on off center hits. Can a 14 handicap play and enjoy the AP2's? You bet. You might sacrifice a tad bit of forgiveness but as you lower your handicap the AP2's have more to offer.
