  • Awfull , check Dave Weckl out instead .

  • @scrumsie I have been a Dave Weckl fan for years, he's a great drummer. I know I'm not in his league but why would you even look at this video when the title associates it with a style of music that drummers like Dave would not even consider playing? I think the skills I display are fairly representative of this style of music which just makes your comment a trolling waste of time, go find something better to do wanker.

P.S. Learn how to spell retard.

  • @jimzero1 Dear Jimzero i am a drummer , and i watched the whole video before i wrote . I watch alot of drumming here on youtube . I didnt mean to troll you , i just dont like your style ,it seems hard for you to play this , this is not drumming, its like watching somebody at a factory being very busy . Work on your technique , learn to relax while playing ,shoulders down ,loosen your wrist ect. Sorry for the spelling. I use more time on practicing the drums than english .

  • @scrumsie thank you for your feedback and I apologise for my less than polite initial response. Why is Dave Weckl being compared against death metal drummers? It's like comparing a Lamborghini(loud, brash, fast showoff) to a Rolls Royce(ultra refined, pure class), the two things are not equally comparable as the entire ideology between the two styles of playing is different. I can see from your profile that you rate Brann Dailor over Derek Roddy, this speaks volumes toward your style preference

  • @scrumsie At the same time you once again profess Dave Weckl over the top of either. Try Buddy Rich or Dennis Chambers or Jo Jo Meyer as they are all closer the the type of drummer that it would appear you are after. For ultra groove try Steve Gadd, he's a legend.

I couldn't help but notice that you have no drumclips posted, is there a reason for this? The advice you give me is spot on, it is hard to enact when you are chasing BPM though. The other band I play in is much easier to relax with.

  • NICE! Where can I get the music?

  • @zakkah93 Cheers man, communication via myspace or facebook, the band is three victims, 2 discs availabe both old and crap because we is lazy......

  • You have a sick sounding snare. Solid ass blasts too. Keep it up.

  • love is in the air

  • Play more with your fingers than wrist, Extreme Metal drumming use very few accents so the french grip / flying fingers technique is much more relaxing to play.

  • @scrumsie I'm assuming your one of the Dave Weckl fanboys who only cares to hear anything his idol produces. Even Dave Weckl has some bad techniques that he still works to fix, and why would you suggest a different style of drumming on a video. Instead offer technical advice rather than stylic approaches.

  • Bet that troll can't play as beast as you, keep up the good work.

  • I love your technique, and I love your setup, you just look a bit uncomfy when playing, but it's your way to play... Great stuff
