  • Germana is a great hand-made cachaça. Pitu and 51are bad ones, they are the cheapest brands in Brazil. Sagatiba and Leblon are fine, they are made for export. Ypioca is also nice.

Congratz on the vid, first time I've seen a foreigner making a caipirinha the right way. Only thing that most brazilians don't do is shake it, but it's ok to do it. Also, some people cut the lemon in thin slices so it won't be too bitter after muddling. You can use less sugar at will too.

  • Thanks Chris! Love the video....

BTW, this is the BEST way to prepare the Caipirinha!

    Great job!

  • You can lots of Cachacas in the UK: Germana,

    Pitu,

    Cachaca 51,

    Leblon,

    and others.

  • good teacher, eloquent and knowlegable

  • @madskillz808 same dude, im usually 2-3 people deep at my bar so gomme syrup and not shaken is my preferred method also. In the uk sagatiba is pretty much all you can get over the counter, although there is pleanty of choice on the net!
