  • wait..so u didnt use shoeing? i have PRL shoeing for my horse with navicular. I am never having her go without shoes. if she doesnt have them she cant even walk. she almost falls down from the pain. Shes a 13 mare and they have a heel wedge on the shoes. They take the weight off her heels so there isnt alot of tension straining on the navicular bone. the people that say they dont need shoes dont kno wat they are talking about. ur horse is prolly younger. oh well, she looks great at the canter:D

  • Actually my horse is 14, and people have different view about everything, thanks tho.

  • at 1:06 she's really swinging her left foot around, maybe you should check the balance of her hoof

  • i have a 15 year old QH and we took him to the vet and they said he had the worste case he has ever seen and he could have sold the pics for a good deal of money cuz they were sooo bad!! but we got him to where i can ride him NO RUNNING for a good amount of time. My farrier made him a SPECIAL shoe with bars going across his heel and the middle of the shoe with that was a full pad under it andd silicone underneath that he felt amazing and now he only has a wedge pad on and reg shoes.hope it helps

  • @astrophel94 I AGREE navicular=go with natural barefoot trimmer

  • @dreamhorse54 my horse was diagnosed with navicular by vets and i searched and found natural barefoot trimming loo up pete ramey navicular it turned out my horse doesnt have a navicular but natural barefoot trimmers can handle them really well

  • @samroxxs actually u should look up barefoot, its very good for horses... they actually dont need shoes. Shoes on = no circulation in the legs becasue the frog cant touch the ground

  • is all you did was let him go barefoot to get him sound caz my horse has it too and i wnat to help him.

  • what do you do for your horses navicular? my horse has it too and we are trying to find someone who has a horse with it and is doing good.

  • ya my horses was diognosed with the WORST case of navicular desease and he is doing good..

  • hi

my pony has just been diagnosed with low grade navicular and can still keep showing and being ridden with no special padded shoes.

She may also still be able to be jumped lightly in the future on soft surfaces :)

navicular is not the end of the road :)

  • omg i found out about 6 months ago that my horse was misdiagnosted and duz NOT have navicular! Which iz great cuz now i get to jump lol look on my channel and the auto vid is of me and him jumping lol but ya my farrier sed only 10% of jorses that r diagnosted with it actually have it lol i never knew that
