This video domonstrates 4 things working together: -Pleo - a robotic autonomous toy. Autonomous means it cannot be controlled, it has something on its mind and does only that - An SD card loaded with some bytes and bits - A Wii Nunchuck controller - An Altoids box stuffed with a few pieces of electronics Altogether these 4 pieces allow controlling Pleo wirelessly using hand motions tracking in range of up to 5 miles. More details about this project and other Pleo (and not just Pleo) robotic hacks are available on my robotics website http://www.robostuff.com. Enjoy!

i think you are just mimicking the command on the sd card that you memorized ahead of time and the altoids box is just a couple of LEDs and maybe a timer on the red one
Shadowsa2b, the scenario you proposed is possible, but I found it easier to implement the actual "pleomote rather then memorize all the commands in skit. You can visit my website and check out the contents of the altoids box - It's a bit more then just a few LEDs. The website also contains all the details about the project, so you can try building the remote yourself and see that it is actually working.
