Take a day visit to the once top secret code breaking centre during WW2. There is so much more that I didn't include. I can only recommend you go for a visit yourself as the atmosphere is amazing. I simply took my video camera and filmed everything possible. Remember during the wartime all this was top secret. Loose tongues costs lives.

There is a petition to keep this museum, check it out:

  • I don't know when MarkLegg87 worked at the Park but I think he must have been at the one that is in the Alternative Universe!! It is true that Bletchley Park DOES get funding in but it drip feeds in and is nowhere near what the Park needs - hence the state of the buildings! As for wasted money, I would like to point out that the vast majority of the staff who work there are volunteers and don't get paid. No money is wasted as there is not enough coming in to be wasted!! Get your facts right!!

  • I don't want to start "a war of words" here boys else we'll have to open another code breaking centre!

Bletchley Park is great, I had a fab day there, long may it continue.

  • Great video, 5 * from me.

Made my second trip to Bletch today. A fantastic place to visit.

Is it Hut 11 you walk into around 1:40? That room is a shocking state, Perspex skylights leaking an what not. This place really deserves some proper funding.

Once again, great job with the vid.

  • It seems no one is quite sure what to do with BP. It will I guess take some funding and I thought that is what the Lottery money was for. The Govt hand out money to all sorts of schemes (besides their own pockets) BP needs that money more that a MP.

  • In case anybody is interested, LFraserS's series of videos called "Bletchley Park Tour" are now complete and well worth looking at!! Great vids and very well made!!

  • 2:02 made me jump!

  • If anybody wants a really good book to read, look at: "Enigma, the Battle for the Code" by Hugo Sebag-Montefiore. He is a descendant of Sir Herbert Leon (who owned and lived at Bletchley Park 1883 to 1926 when he died) and is one of the better books on the subject.

Another good one is "Codebreakers: The Inside Story of Bletchley Park" by Sir Harry Hinsley (who worked there during the war) and Alan Stripp.

  • If you want really interesting information about Bletchley Park, one guy who works as a Tour Guide there is making a great series of videos and putting them on You Tube. His screen name is "LFraserS" and if you type "Bletchley Park Tour" into the search bar at the top of the screen you will find them. Up to now he has done Parts 1 to 5 with more to come. They're well worth looking at and Factual!!! He really brings the place to life!!

  • I used to work at BP, they were getting funding all time, but so much was wasted on unnecessary things and the whole place is so over staffed they have people that sit around doing nothing all day.

    Hopefully you find that interesting

  • Visited Bletchley Park in 2008 and am thoroughly fascinated about the work that took place there during WW2, I'v been reading a lot about it but would anyone have any suggestions on further reading

  • Great video, must get there one day
