  • they look like the army from the wizard of oz

  • News... Mellophones are terribly out of tune instruments and have a much more brassy and trumpet like sound than a french horn. Used because people can't march well with them since they screw up their hand positions to just hold them up and uneven projection of ensemble sound.

  • This isn't a fanfare!

  • God save the Queen!

  • @lynchi33 LMAO!!! now that you mention it....

  • Going by the St. Patrick's blue plume in the righ side of the Drum Major's bearskin, looks like the Irish Guards? Or is it another Guards regimental band being LED by an Irish guards DM? Fantastic sound. I had a small group here in SoCal that performed as Guards here for British business events and two Royal events. I have all the 5 regimental uniforms collected except need 2 more bearskins. :)

  • LEFT RIGHT LE<<<<FT HA LEFT A HHH a RIGHT LEFTAHHHH,

  • LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!!!!

  • I don't think any other country honors their Royal family, quite like the British.

  • @TJJ5621 well atleast they've got some kickass hats.

  • @Agrikultur They are wearing their winter uniforms. They only wear the scarlet tunics in the summer.
