Actually they didnt use any 3d modeling. All they did to make max look computer animated was they put a rubber mask with make-up. Then they put a fiber glass jacket to make his clothes look computer animated. I know this for a fact.

Go get the series buy it or rent it.You will find that it was way ahead of its time not only in content but the effects, and how funny it is But what the shows were about still fascinates me

@r0bar00 Yes, Max Headroom was pretty much the beginning of Matt Frewer's career. At least it gave him one helluva kick start.

This is correct. I think Matt Frewer said that the makeup took something like 2 hours to put on each day. The only thing that was done with a computer was the editing. I think Matt Frewer said they'd cut out about 1 out of every 5 frames or something like that, and added the stuttering effects, to make it seem like the "computer" couldn't keep up with the "software", the software being Max himself, of course. I always figured the idea was that Max's ego is so big, it causes the OS to hang up.
