@zibbed you could have a case for exploiting hilarity out of dogs, but how is this abuse?

I remember the first time we got booties for my dog oh so many years ago. I'm in Ontario, so they're pretty much a staple if you wanna walk your dog between november and march and don't want to have to deal with salt in the pads of their feet. Only difference that this was a big black lab.some form of herding dog mix, so it was even funnier XD She appreciated it though as soon as she realized her paws were protected from the salt! And warmer too! I don't get why people think this is abuse.

the dog boots were made to protect the dogs feet against the salty sidewalks after and during the snowy times in chicago. the salt burns there pads. we humans werent created with shoes on our feet so explain to me why u wear shoes?

Dog's happy, if the booties were annoying he'd be gnawing at them. He's enjoying the attention and the games, might be finding the changed grip weird but he adjusted well. I think the mild inconvenience traded for the affection etc is fair enough. Humans go through much worse for much less all the time.
