  • You should sing straight on. Never at an up angle. It is completely unnatural and complete BS and will result in you singing like a pipsqueak. Is that how your head is when you talk to people regularly. Sing into the mike that feels most comfortable to you. Whoever came up with this technique should be stoned. Any studio tech that knows anything will tell you this.

  • Singing with your head pointed up puts unnecessary stain on your vocal chords and should be avoided, people should try to avoid it when trying to sing higher pitched material also, though we all tend to do it (we all seem to subconsciously think it helps), but if that is the only way you feel comfortable, then do it. That is one of the most important things when recording.
