The official did confirm it on the day and there were certain requirements about who needed to 'witness' the attempt. We had Andy from X factor and the guy who plays Minty in Eastenders.

Hi, Yes there was an official and it was confirmed that it was a new record. I am not sure of the process and timing for adding this to the record book. I am hoping like you that they will be in the next book.

we did break the world record, i was there XD with merryhills, the bbc hosted it, and showed on the news.
