This is the first episode in a two-part series on flora and fauna (plants and animals).
Tony uses paint, paper and sheets of glass to create patterns which look like ferns.
Alison takes a look at the Jersey Battle of Flowers in the Channel Islands. She then uses dried leaves, petals, sweet chestnuts and conkers to create a picture of a hoglet (a baby hedgehog).
Tony visits Haversham First School near Milton Keynes, and shows the children how to make pictures of flowers by dipping their fingers in paint.
Margot makes a magic bunch of flowers, using some garden wire, crepe paper and card.
Finally, Tony uses a very fine black permanent pen and some paint sticks to make a watercolour picture of some hawthorn leaves and berries.
(Plus a short bonus clip of Andy Crane in the Children's BBC Broom Cupboard!)
