I got a great public education, I receive great health services from the government, our kids get almost free kindergarten teaching, my government protects me from exploitation by employers over working times, I get paid when I am sick, my wife got 2 years of maternity pay, I got parental holiday for my newborns, I get 8 weeks paid holiday every year plus paid public holidays.

The study used flawed application of reasoning. Over 80% of those deaths were attributed to suicide. Meanwhile the suicide rate overall was the same in households without guns. Try looking it up. Also you have fun getting raped, stabbed, shot, whatever by the intruder you're trying to "reason" with. Typical anti-gunner wants to make an excuse for the criminal and blame the honest citizen protecting their family.

If two policeman stopped you as you were leaving your workplace and told you that a warrant had been issued for your arrest I think it highly unlikely that, even if you were armed, you would resist arrest. You'd probably say there must have been some kind of mix up and that if needs be you'd get your lawyer on the case. Shooting the cops would NOT be a good idea.

The idea that people who are armed would or should resist government forces with firearms is just bonkers.
