This is a fun project using your router. You will need a flush trim bit and a roundover bit. Once you make the two jigs, the cutting of the links is really simple.

  • I love how you screw up and fix the screw ups on the spot. Makes your videos (and you) seem much more human. Way to go.

  • @muaddubby Haha...I'm not good enough to do things right the first time.

  • @crabs73 not all are human, some can be real donkeys. (i'd spell another four legged equestrian relation, but my son is learning to spell and is watching the video too)(

  • @stevinmarin That may be true, but us mere mortals can relate to you.

  • ahahah i thought this video was about the router you use for connecting to the internet my bad

  • @KazimsChannel It can be done but requires a LOT of actual whittling and is VERY time intensive. Also, it's a great way to kill time and just relax if you enjoy "whittling away the hours" on a summer afternoon.

  • 1:04 - 1:09 Thumbs up if you knew that was a clever lie.

  • can you do a chain using one piece of wood ( without breaking and gluing) ? ? :D

  • I noticed he had a Porter Cable Router!

  • making wooden chains is very nice, and i believe that your way of making them is very nice.

other thing i liked even more, is your polite and very fair-play way to give a honor to P&C for sending you that nice router. keep up with nice ideas, and just continue to be human woodworker ;-). yours audience is human, too,(at least i hope we are human)

  • Try using 2p-10 for your glueing. Much much much quicker

  • And here I was looking for some magic, then you break the links and glue them back together lol. Cheater!! Good vids. Love them.
