Its very sad to see this great tenor in such poor vocal form. I find myself squirming just before the top notes...The audience loves it

Difficile de bien chanter quand notre fille est à l'hôpital entre la vie et la mort, n'est-ce pas ? Ce qui est le cas de Di Stefano ici. Il n'est que l'ombre de lui-même, ça se voit et ça s'entend. Malgré toutes les épreuves (perte de sa voix, perte de sa fille etc.) et j'ose dire toutes les critiques infamantes qu'on lui a infligées, il a su faire face avec un courage admirable.

Pour moi, GDS est et sera toujours LE TÉNOR.

Ascoltate come si fa a distruggere una delle più belle voci di ogni tempo... temperamento da artista supremo, anche grande tecnica se continuava a cantare opere a lui congeniali  Tosca per esempio era una di quelle che poteva eseguire meglio di chiunque altro, Rigoletto, Boheme, Manon , Arlesiana, Ballo in maschera, Traviata, Lucia..ecc. poi iniziò a eseguire,Pagliacci, Manon Lescau,Turandot,Andrea Chenier,Trovatore, Aida ecc. e la sua voce splendida ne risentì e i risultati eccoli saluti

I love pure instrumental music and find many of the liric singers quite ridicoulous with their demostrating HI-notes.There are very few singers in the history of BELCANTO, who really had the ART OF SINGING in theit throats: CALLAS, TITO SCHIPA, GIGLI and DI STEFANO.

Di Stefano could sing with perfect phrasing- perfect diction and magic voice. He gave important meaning to every single word. Other singers just sing NOTES

@ManuelBGilTenor invece c'e chi preferisce 1 giorno da leone che 40 anni da mediocre;e distefano ebbe ben 15 anni da leone,dal 1946 al 1961.In quegli anni era il numero uno alla scala, alla wiener staatsoper, in america, nel mondo.Questo video e' stato messo per screditarlo.E'' come mettere la brutta figura che fece Bergonzi a fine carriera quando provo' a fare l' Otello: fece il primo atto e poi non si presento' sul palcoscenico al secondo.Anche se viveva di tecnica anche lui era finito!
