Why you should never pick up hitchhikers (a scene from "Tex")

A video to ring in the new year. This is a pretty self-explanatory scene from Tex (1982). It's one of the first films Željko Ivanek ever did! Obviously he's making trouble.

Matt Dillon (aged 17) plays Tex McCormick (age 15), an average kid from Oklahomah.
Jim Metzler (aged 29) plays Mason McCormick (age 18), Tex's older brother.
ZI (aged 23) plays Mark Jennings (age 23), a hitchhiker.

@MrSmallANDLoud no need to shout ;) The bad guy (Mark) is wanted by the police for recently shooting someone- that's what Mark is talking about in his monologue. So they probably considered Mark armed and dangerous even if they couldn't verify for sure that he was armed before shooting.

I think its cool how S.E. Hinton put different characters from different books in the storys.

Like PonyBoy is in That Was Then and This Is Now.
