Derecho straight line winds

This is video of the winds on the leading edge of the the squall line featured on my lastest thunderstorm video. Winds reached 60-70 MPH in some spots in Crawford & Grant counties in WI. Estimate the strongest wind speed in the location this video was shot.

I say 35-40mph winds.

Yes, I'd say about 40 mph. too. I'm a spotter for my county & was hearing reports of 60 mph winds, but they never got that strong here. There was a lot of tree damage just a few miles north & south of my location though. Check out my video entitled "The Storm Spotter & the shorter bus" for some funny commentary.

thatz nothing i live in joplin missouri and this morning we got windz up to 95mph same kind of storm system

I'm in St. Croix county actually, I think I found this video when looking up recent WI weather events.

I'm going for storm spotting training in the spring, I just moved to Wisconsin a few months ago, where I lived before hardly had weather severe enough to make it worthwhile (and also living here has really sparked my interest in weather).
