It's an actual fog horn. It's so loud when they test it before games that they warn everyone over the PA system before they open the doors.

agreed!! i am a big fan of goal horns. i want to make it out west to a sharks game and hear it before i graduate

we have one like that in Cleveland but its a little lower pitch. we dont test ours, we just go nuts on it during the game. our guy will press the button twice after a goal, or nine times, its diferent all the time, its a wonder it doesnt break.

we had that happen after a goal, to the guy who presses the goal horn button. he never did press it after our goal. it was rather weird.

I may be the only nut who cares about this, but did you notice when they covered up the gaps between the giant video boards? At the first game I went to after the arena refurbishments I enjoyed being able to see the back side of the video board, but they covered the gaps with those rather ugly grey coverings with the holes going through them.

Looks like the guy operating the fascia had fallen asleep. The GOAL graphics were pretty late.
