Interview with Paul Gross Part 1: On Working in Canada. In part one of this NSI interview series, multi-talented actor/writer/director/producer - and NSI Honorary Chair - Paul Gross discusses his experiences working in L.A., and why he continually turns down offers from Hollywood, preferring to chart his career in Canada. He also talks about his committment to the Canadian film and TV industry and his disappointment that so many of our talented artists feel they have to abandon Canada for Hollywood. More parts to come including two on 'Passchendaele.'

  • Apparently Mr. Gross thinks there's more to the arts than money (which I gather is one reason why he spoke in front of the Senate to talk about it). It's nice to know there are people with this kind of talent and popularity who still stay true to their principles. If that's whining there needs to be more of it.

  • He is such an eloquent speaker.

  • Yeah he is really hot he looks like chris north from sex and the city.Great looking is he married???

  • Thanks for posting these bits! Wonderful and very informative!f

Mr Gross.... can I work with/for you sometime?!?! ;-)

  • Very true. His other projects are very promising :)

  • I love due South, I really do, but I'll have to disagree with you here. Slings & Arrows is quite possibly the best television ever filmed. YMMV, of course. Apparently most reviewers think so, too, since I've yet to find a single negative review.

  • I think it would be a good idea if he wanted to do it, although it seems like he's busy doing other things these days (which is a GOOD thing, btw). :)
