Ya know,..I have used bits all of my life, and my horses were never abused.I didnt see the only tweo bits I would never use in the video.Too bad. They are the Pelham bit and the Spanish bit with a pointed plate. It rips the top of a horses mouth to shreds. Not all Spanish bits are painful, but that one is.I have seen the results of its usage. The Pelham is two bits in one,and they can wrench an animals tongue.I like a bit that has a small roller for the horse to play with.

@MilzMat137 Any bit can cause pain in the wrong hands.

I haven't used a bit on my mare since a few days after I got her! She shook her head, and flung it side to side, she'd move all over the place and didn't pay attention to what she was supposed to do. So I I had her teeth checked. Teeth were fine. So I bought a bitless bridle and I've not had an ounce of trouble with her since. And I have NEVER used spurs.

@MilzMat137 if u think this is fine there is somethin wrong !!!!!
-
i agree with all of these photos being wrong except for the racing image. Can i ask how that was horse abuse? and as for the bits... yes some are unnessesary and unfortunately just for show but if used properly are no danger to a horse. Any bit if used in the wrong way will hurt a horses mouth.

@MilzMat137 a bit is only as harsh as the hand that controls it. a soft hand can make a harsh bit un harsh (i.e not yanking the mouth off) and a harsh hand can make a soft bit harsh
bits are fine just not hard ones.

Ehh the bits and spurs are perfectly fine if used properly...There was one bit I'd not seen before so I can't speak for that one however. What I would consider wrong however is the spurs being taken into consideration.....I ride with spurs, because my horse has the worst steering problem I've ever seen and we're working on it.
However, I have done my research on slaughter and I really am against it.

@Weaponsmaster8595 yes but these bits are harsh , so thats why we put them . were not saying that everyone that uses spurs and hard bits are not useing them correctly. we just think people should find more information about these bits before they buy one and shove it in their poor horses mouth. Like how would u feel being jabbed in the side with a piece of medal. or haveing a huge medal chunck in ur mouth and someone maybe yanking ur head off. like were just saying. these bits can be harsh ;p
