clearly you completely missed the point of Derek's words.

your way of thinking is only humainsm at best. unless you have surrendered all you are to Christ and have been reconnected with a God who lives outside of our finite lives in eternity and who longs for all to know Him intimately you will always keep things in your human perspective. You are already barking up the wrong tree when you say "if God is all powerful," or if there's such a loving God" You need to find the tree of life where His love and plan for us will then make sense.
