@henshinrider not all psychics use cold reading techniques. in fact a lot of animals have a higher perception or knowledge of things for instance frogs can tell days before when an earthquake is going to occur and some dogs know when their owners are in danger etc. so i think the sixth sense may simply be a biological phenomena.it could be that "psychics" use more of their brains. I have seen many mediums live and most of them did cold read but some did not.i know the difference.

What people don't seem to get is that the work of these 'psychic' people use a technique called cold reading. It is quite simple to do, all you do is get a crowd say that you get a calling from somebody with a generic name, if nobody responds then you say something similar sounding, if somebody responds the psychic says a bunch of things based on the persons appearance, age and gender. Or alternatively you can look at the crowds appearance and make a generalized comment that gets a reaction.
